1 Kings 3.❤

The Lord can call anyone to fulfil His will. We see within His Word many cases where The Lord called people who were not necessarily ready for what He was calling them to do. In Solomon’s case he loved The Lord and he loved to serve Him. God recognised His heart of worship for Him and He revealed Himself to Solomon.

And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of his father David, except that he sacrificed and burned incense at the high places. I Kings 3:3

At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, “Ask! What shall I give you?” I Kings 3:5

God called Solomon to rule over and lead Israel, He saw Solomon’s love for Him and recognised that He obeyed His statutes. Therefore The Lord being our helper revealed Himself to Solomon asking “What shall I give you?”

When we seek first His kingdom and obey His statutes, then everything else shall be added unto us.

Now, O Lord my God, You have made Your servant king instead of my father David, but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. I Kings 3:7

And Your servant is in the midst of Your people whom You have chosen, a great people, too numerous to be numbered or counted. I Kings 3:8

Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” I Kings 3:9

The speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 1 Kings 3:10

Solomon’s worry was his age, he loved The Lord but he had little experience in leadership. Sure he learnt a few things from his father David but he lacked the wisdom and understanding to carry out the great responsibility that The Lord had given him. Therefore Solomon did not ask for silver or gold to gain the respect of man, instead Solomon asked for wisdom and this pleased God.

What is it that The Lord has called you to do? Maybe you want to fulfil that purpose but you are worried about your age, or maybe you are worried about not having the necessary materials to get you started.

If you are that person then I want to let you know that you need not worry nor be afraid. The Lord is your helper, He will provide. If The Lord has called you to whatever it is that He has called you to do then trust Him enough to know that He will be with you and He will see you through.

All we need do is trust and obey for there is no other way. Worship Him, love The Lord.
It is impossible to lead others if first we are not able to serve Christ wholeheartedly, and serving The Lord wholeheartedly is what The pleases The Lord.

Worship Him in spirit and in truth, not in the flesh. Worshipping The Lord in the flesh, in self, in pride is deception.

Then God said to him: “Because you have asked this thing, and have not asked long life for yourself, nor have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice, I Kings 3:11

behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. I Kings 3:12

And I have also given you what you have not asked: both riches and honor, so that there shall not be anyone like you among the kings all your days. I Kings 3:13

Seek Ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,and He shall give you beyond your heart’s desires!Solomon is a great example of this!

Lets not seek things but lets seek The Lord first.
To seek God first is to seek wisdom because God as well as being love is also wisdom.
Material things they fade but The Lord forever remains the same.

In whatsoever it is that you are doing you must know that you need God for it is He who will help you to fulfil His will because He will teach you and work through you. The Lord will reveal Himself to you, He will give you new ideas, He will favour and bless you beyond measure, He will lengthen your days. All we need do is trust Him, obey Him, walk in His ways, and worship Him.

Do not let your age or your current circumstance stop you from doing what God has called you to do.
It doesn’t matter how young you are! The youth are out there dying, lost, and confused let them see the light of The Lord shine through you!

God is not a respecter of persons therefore He is not interested in your credentials. Is The Lord calling you to do something totally out of your comfort zone? Is The Lord calling you to do something totally out of your degree? Sometimes The Lord will call you out from where you are into a total new direction, go with His flow. Trust and obey for His direction will always lead to something greater.
It might not make any sense right now but The Lord knows your beginning and your end, your coming out and your going in.

Live up to the expectations of The Lord and not of man.
The Lord can use you right where you are. No matter how old or how young He can use you for His glory.

The Lord does not need you to have material things before He can use you. The Lord can use you right where you are. No matter how old or how young He can use you for His glory.

The Lord Will Provide and See You Through.
The Lord is able to begin a great work in you just where you are right now, but there is something you must do first and that is to seek Him.
Are you willing to seek Him first before you seek yourself? Are you willing to seek Him first before the vain pleasures of the world?

Short testimony 😊.
The Lord has been revealing a lot to me concerning what He wants me to do, some of it ties in with my course of study, some of it ties in with the skills He has placed within me such as my singing voice, most of what He has revealed to me to do has been totally out of my comfort zone,
but I have learned and I am still learning to trust and obey Him and the more I do The more He is able to pour His Spirit within me to use me because He is not able to use us when we are full of self.
Solomon could’ve been full of self he could’ve asked God for material things and just look at what that could’ve cost him, his kingship because such things do not please The Lord.
Self can be pride or fear, and the more I trust Him the less fear or pride tries to hinder the Spirit of God to move within me.

When we let go of self we allow The Spirit of God to move us into where He wants us to be, and the more we trust Him the more the vision becomes so much clearer, and He is able to continually teach us, mould us into His very likeness, work through us, pushing us beyond our natural abilities.
Don’t allow the flesh to restrict you from your calling.

Keep encouraged in His Word, I always say at times no one will encourage you so keep meditating on His Word.

So if you walk in My ways, to keep My statutes and My commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.” I Kings 3:14

Then Solomon awoke; and indeed it had been a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, offered up burnt offerings, offered peace offerings, and made a feast for all his servants. I Kings 3:15

Worship, trust, and obey Him.
For what may seem like a dream is actually His reality.
