Genesis 1:25

Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good.

Genesis 1:31

In Genesis chapter one The Lord starts off by saying that ‘He saw the Light that it was good’.

May you start of this year by seeing the light of His goodness, His mercy and loving kindness.🙏

God then repeats seven times that ‘He saw that it was good’.

God foresees the goodness in our lives, that is our blessed assurance. That despite the trials, God sees past the trials and sees the tribulations. Where we see darkness, God sees past the darkness and sees the light. God stating seven times in Genesis chapter one that ‘He saw that it was good’ is intentional. It’s intentional because He sets the pace, He give us hope, He keeps us going, knowing that through Him we have a hope and a future. That is is enough to give us the strength we need to fight the good fight and finish the race.

In verse 26, God states that He made us in His own image. He pours His blessings into us and ends in verse 31 saying ‘it was VERY good’.

It can’t get anymore encouraging than that!

What a privilege, a joy and an honour to know that God sees us , His children as very good. Despite the flaws, God sees us as very good, but what makes us very good?

In order for God to pour His blessings into us, we have got to be in constant fellowship and communion with Him. It’s being a reflection of our Father that makes us good in His eyes, and being a reflection of Him, is to live a life of purity and holiness, the two things that brings us closer to God. It’s a heart full of humility and repentance that draws us closer to His presence.

In order for us to see the good that The Lord sees, we’ve got to pray have faith and trust Him.

His goodness is His perfect will.

It’s a short and sweet message, that God sees and He sees that it was good and when it comes to you and I, He sees that everything He made about you and pertaining to you is VERY GOOD.

Genesis chapter one is the beginning, it’s the first chapter and in this first chapter of the year, let His goodness alone be your source of peace and joy this year.

Remember He’s all seeing and He’s all knowing, we have to surrender all to Him and trust Him. it’s not by our strength nor by our power but by His Spirit, we can’t do all things by our own accord, but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Be encouraged.
