This new year The Lord has placed me straight into the face of fear.
Now He hasn’t done this to harm me, hurt me, or confuse me, no The Spirit of The Lord is none of those things.
The Lord has simply placed me right in the face of fear to overcome it.
Overcoming fear produces DaFruit called PROGRESS.

You see fear is not something that we can run away from, fear is something that we must overcome.

For example I’ve been determined to overcome the spirit of fear when driving. There have been many times where I’ve started of well and finished terribly because I allowed fear to overcome me when I should’ve overcome it.

Determination must be applied with the meditation of the Word of God.
Today was different, because today I meditated on this Word.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7

I kept mediating on this Word over and over again, though discouraging thoughts tried to creep into my mind I kept meditating on that Word, and you know what I haven’t had such a great driving lesson in ages I felt so calm and so happy.

However, you know the enemy never gives up so at times in the midst of my driving lesson the enemy tried to throw me of course here and there, but thank God that we serve a persistent, consistent, insistent God who never fails, therefore I responded to the enemy by quickly meditating on His Word and as I did I felt calm, that calm is called peace, sound mind, joy, and as I began to feel all those positive things, I made progress!
After I had stirred up His encouraging Word into my spirit He birthed DaFruit of progress which we all know leads to success.

Now I’m not there yet but thanks to His beautiful Word I am making progress by overcoming the spirit of fear!

The enemy won’t stop trying to throw the spirit of fear at the children of God because the enemy is trying to distract, discourage and intimidate the children of God from continuing on the road to success that is why we must not fail in meditating on His Word, His Word is how we overcome fear and progress further into the perfect will of God.

Around about the last few months of 2013 I knew that I would be ministering through song more often in 2014 and again I was faced with that same spirit of fear.
It wasn’t so much that I was afraid to sing it was more so unnecessary over thinking, and overanalysing, depending on self to minister when I should in fact be depending on the leading of His Spirit because it’s only by His Spirit that I would be able to minister.

In this situation I prayed and fasted, I prayed as I just wanted to let me go and let God have His way.
So the faithful day of ministration came, I felt both calm and afraid but I kept pressing into God, I kept on praying.
The more I let go of myself the more I allowed God to have His way and just flow through the song.
When I didn’t let go I felt it, I felt the stagnation in the ministration, and when I did let go I felt it, I felt the progress in the ministration.
I was even surprised with what I was doing and hearing lol. Apart of the ministration was totally out of myself character, my comfort zone. Apart of it was in the Spirit in His zone, and I was encouraged and glad to hear that people were amazed as well as blessed by the wonderful work that The Lord has begun.
Again I’m still not there yet, but the more I meditate on His Word, the more I pray, the more I trust in Him, the more I let go of myself and let Him have His way, then the more I make progress and overcome the sprit of fear.

Remember that even though we are children of God it does not mean we will not be placed in the face of fear.
If not why was Daniel faced with the lions den, or David faced with Goliath, or even Jesus Christ Himself faced with the cross?

Once we overcome fear we remain victorious!
They all were placed in the face of fear, but because of His Word they all overcame it and the same can happen for me and you if we just heed to His Word and learn to trust Him more.

The more we heed to His Word and trust Him more, the more we will overcome that old spirit of fear.
They say practice makes perfect, and that’s true but I say apply the word of God into your life and that not only makes perfect but overcomes all.
Glory be to God for His Word.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night,
that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.
For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:8

These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. I Peter 5:7

I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
