And of the angels He says:

“Who makes His angels spirits
And His ministers a flame of fire.”Hebrews 1:7

It is possible to be going to church every Sunday yet still have no fire whatsoever.
The fire of God is what empowers us as children of God, if there is no fire then our prayers become ineffective.
As believers our prayer should always be oh Lord fill me with Your raw and undiluted fire, because it is the fire of God that the enemy cannot stand.
We all know that fire is hot there is no one in their right mind that would willingly go and put their hand in the fire, so imagine if you become that fire do you think that the enemy would even dare to touch you? No, because he knows that he will burn.
John answered, saying to all, “I indeed baptize you with water; but One mightier than I is coming, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Luke 3:16

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Acts 2:1
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
Acts 2:2
Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
Acts 2:3
And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.
Exodus 13:21

He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.
Exodus 13:22

Now it came to pass, in the morning watch, that the Lord looked down upon the army of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and cloud, and He troubled the army of the Egyptians.
Exodus 14:24

God can trouble your enemies with His fire.
The Lord is a consuming fire.

For our God is a consuming fire.
Hebrews 12:29

and fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.
Leviticus 9:24

And it came to pass, at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near and said, “Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that You are God in Israel and I am Your servant, and that I have done all these things at Your word.
1 Kings 18:36
Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again.”
1 kings 18:37
Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench.
I kings 18:38
Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!”
1 Kings 18:39
And Elijah said to them, “Seize the prophets of Baal! Do not let one of them escape!” So they seized them; and Elijah bro ught them down to the Brook Kishon and executed them there.
1 Kings 18:40

Although fire can be very useful it can also be very dangerous and this is why; fire can purify, cook, break, consume, refine, generate heat, move, join things together, destroy, and kill. We must be on fire for God.
If we look at Daniel 3 we will begin to understand what it means to be too hot for the enemy to comprehend let alone handle.
Why didn’t the flames harm and kill Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego? The simple answer to that question is because they were already on fire for God, they were hot, they were burning, can fire harm fire? No!

But you know something very interesting happened in that same Daniel 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were not harmed by the fire, but the guards who were ordered by the King to throw them into the fiery furnace were harmed by the fire, the heat alone was enough to kill the guards who attempted to follow the instruction of the King.
Those guards were obviously not children of God let alone being on fire for God, it’s no wonder that they could not even handle the heat of the fire to survive, but when God is with you who can be against you?
God was with them in the midst of the fire, and not only was God with them but they were also abiding in God, and that is very very important as believers.

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
John 15:5
If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw theminto the fire, and they are burned.
John 15:6
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will[b] ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
John 15:7
By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.
John 15:8
When you have the fire of God fear should be far from you, because fire is fearless, its confident, and its bold.

Here are some signs in identifying if there is no fire:

If you cannot fast or pray pray then there is no fire
If you keep falling into the same sin then it means there is no fire
if you are easily accessible to the enemy both spiritually and physically then it means there is no fire
If unbelievers are extremely comfortable with you it means there is no fire(meaning you behave in the same as as nonbelievers do, you are not set apart, you are easily yoked with unbelievers, and you compromise)
You are easily convinced, and you compromise with sin then it means there is no fire
If you enjoy the fruits of the flesh more than you enjoy the fruits of the Holy Spirit then there is no fire
Lastly if you do not have any desire whatsoever to read the Word of God then there is no fire, because the word of God is fire

“Is not My word like a fire?” says the Lord,
“And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?
Jeremiah 23:29

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
Galatians 5:16
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
Galatians 5:17
But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Galatians 5:18
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery,[c] fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
Galatians 5:19
idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
Galatians 5:20
envy, murders,[d]drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:21
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Galatians 5:22
gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:23
And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Galatians 5:24
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Galatians 5:25
Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
Galatians 5:26

We need His fire daily but what do we need to do when we receive the fire and how do we keep it burning?

We must repent
We must realise we need His fire
We need to pray for His fire continually, and it is His fire that will empower, uphold, and strengthen us.

I pray that the Lord will help us to keep the fire burning, it is by His mercy and His grace that we we are even able to receive His fire. We must realise that His fire is not for everybody but for those that are willing to die to the flesh daily, and to do the prefect will of the Father. His fire is for those that will stand for righteousness no matter what like Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

God’s fire is for men and women of FAITH.
