Be still and know that I am God.
Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.” Exodus 32:1
And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said,
“This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!” Exodus 32:4
Learn to wait upon The Lord.
Be still and know that I Am God.
Do not forget what The Lord delivered you from.
Sometimes there will be delays but God’s delays are not denials just wait, The Lord is preparing a table for you in the presence of your enemies.
When we do not wait on The Lord, then we have the tendency to go after other things.
We live in a world where everyone wants everything to happen now and quickly.
Everyone wants quick money, easy money, easy access.
That’s why many are willing to gain the whole world only to lose their souls.
Christians are willing to compromise their purity.
People are willing to kill, join cults, do whatever kind of evil to get what they want.
For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
Mark 8:36
Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
Mark 8:37
The Israelites substituted God for a golden calf.
What have we substituted God for?
What will we substitute God for when the going gets tough?
What do we substitute God for when we are being tried?
It might not necessarily be a golden calf, but it could be your job, money, what you watch, what you listen to, your friends, what you read, something or someone, or even your relationship.
That relationship that God never told you to get into.
Or that relationship that compromises your relationship with God.
Or that relationship that you highly esteem more than you do God.
Yes that to is an idol.
That’s idol worship.
Be careful.
Whatever you place before God is an idol, and whenever we place things before God we become idle in the Spirit.
What does it mean to be idle?
Idle means to be lazy.
Faith without works is dead, that is why we need to work out our own salvation.
Even when we wait upon The Lord that is when we must work out our faith the more.
Idols do not strengthen our Spirit man rather they strengthen the flesh, and delay our breakthrough.
What happens in the physical has already taken place in the spiritual.
Why have you given up and made idols amongst yourselves?
Do not replace God with false gods.
God is true, and He will try your Spirit.
When He does refuse to surrender your heart to anyone else other than The Lord.
It’s easy to forget what The Lord has done when we pass through difficult times.
God delivered the Israelites out of Egypt.
They forgot all about the signs and the wonders He displayed, just because of a little delay they could not wait on The Lord for just a little while.
His delay will test your faithfulness.
Just because He delays does not mean He is far away.
Was not Moses seeking the face of The Lord for forty days and nights.
The Israelites could’ve also worshipped, and His presence would’ve reached them also, but they chose to be far away from God by replacing Him with a cheap substitute.
Nothing can compare to God Almighty.
Money, material things, ‘celebrities’, none of these things can compare to God Almighty, do you know that none of these things even come close.
They can never fill in the void, they do not promise you everlasting life, none of these things died so that you might live.
Do not become idle in your Spirit.
Do not forget all that He has done for you.
He loves you so much, He is forever interceding for you.
His mercy is great towards you.
Just learn to be still, that is The Word from The Lord as we enter into this new season.
Be still and know that He alone is your God.
There is none other like Him, and believe me no one can be compared to Him.
He is your strength.
God is your strength.
Seek God first, and everything else that is true shall be added unto you.
Seek the world first, and everything false shall be added unto.
Do not seek false gods, they never do satisfy and the things of this world will surely pass away.
Do not believe everything you see, and do not believe everything you listen to.
The Lord is close.
He will never leave nor forsake you, so don’t abandon God for some cheap imitation, for some lie, for some counterfeit.
You will settle for less if you do not tame your flesh to be subjective to The Holy Spirit.
Never settle for less.
Patience.
Be patient.
Too many believers are either rushing ahead of God, or walking behind Him.
Walk with God, run with God.
Whatever you are doing do it with God ensure that God has a say in your life.
Is God The Lord over your life?
Or is it someone or something that really does not know you like the way God knows you.
He knew you, He knew you even before you were formed in your mother’s womb He knew you.
Why would you substitute an all knowing God?
Why can’t we trust Him.
Trust and obey.
There is really no other way to be happy in Jesus.
Wait and do not give up until His presence comes down.
Just imagine what wondrous presence the Israelites would’ve encountered whilst Moses was seeking God, if only they had just been patient.
Be still.
Your hour of visitation is sure to come.
Listen.
Be discerning in your Spirit.
There is a time for everything.
A time to speak, and a time to be quiet.
A time to go, and a time to be still.
To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
Ecclesiastes 3:1
Be careful of what you allow into your Spirit.
We are His Holy Temple.
Be sensitive to The Holy Spirit.
The Lord desires to have a relationship with you.
He wants your time.
Do you know that when The Lord says seek ye first the kingdom of God, it means we must keep God first.
What are we prioritising?
I’m not saying don’t work don’t do anything else because that’s not biblical.
What I am saying is what His Word says, that when we seek first the Kingdom of God everything else shall be added unto us.
Meaning that God will help us to focus and understand how to manage other things once we seek Him first.
God doesn’t steal your time, neither does He waste it.
satan does that.
The Lord says be still.
Be still and learn to trust The Lord more.
Be still your breakthrough is well on its way.
You’ve prayed and you’ve cried out to The Lord now wait, He will surely answer.
Where is your faith?
He says we must work out our own salvation with fear, and trembling.
Work out your faith.
Faith without works is dead.
Learn to worship God in spite of your situation.
God hears you.
Praise your way through.
The problem is we are just as much a stiff necked people as the Israelites were.
Despite all that God had done for the Israelites they still continued to turn their backs on God, they even eventually ended up in exile in Babylon.
Are we any different?
The amount of people that still refuse to surrender their lives to Christ, and He sacrificed His life so that we might live.
God help us, and forgive us.
He continues to intercede for us.
His love is amazing.
Idols.
Be careful of the things and the people you put before God.
We can even put ourselves before God, and God hates pride.
Selfishness, do you know that’s what kicked satan right out of heaven.
God hates pride.
Do not make idols of yourselves.
You can never be bigger than God.
You can never be greater than God.
It does not matter how famous you are.
It doesn’t even matter how much money you have.
Live a life that’s pleasing to God.
There is nothing that satan can offer you that hasn’t already been given to you from God.
All you need do is ask, and He will give according to what He has promised.
According to His will.
What God gives lasts.
What satan gives fades.
Why substitute God for the riches of this world.
God said the love of money is the root of all evil not money itself, but the love for it.
Loving money more than God that’s evil.
You’d rather chase money more than you chase God.
That’s not wise that’s plain stupid.
God knows our beginning and our end.
Money does not promise you eternal life.
God promises eternal life.
If you have made money your idol.
Please repent, and run back to God.
Believe me He is more than able to bless you beyond measure.
If only you seek Him first, walk in His ways, and trust Him.
Be still.
Why are you in a rush?
Be still and trust God.
Trust God with your life.
Is He not the author and the finisher of our faith?
This Christian life is a faith walk.
We walk by faith and not by sight.
This Christian life is a faith walk.

We are drawn to idols when are eyes are not fixed on God.
Refuse to lose focus on God, and quit doubting Him.
I believe so much in my heart that when God says He has started a good work, then He will surely finish it.
Be still.
We live in a fast world, but be still.
Be still and put your trust in God.
His delays are not denials.
His delays are not denials.
Be a faithful servant of God.
Learn to worship Him no matter the situation.
In the good times and the bad times worship Him.
God will surely visit you.
What will your response be when there is a delay?
Remember God has the final say.
