Good morning all I had to take advantage of this time to spend in God’s Word.
He took me to 1 Kings 5 around midnight but then I fell asleep lol, after falling asleep and waking up a bunch of times He took me to 1 Peter 2 and this is what He is saying this morning.

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; I Peter 2:9

who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. I Peter 2:10

How does the chosen generation present themselves before this world?
The chosen generation are supposed to be proclaimers, proclaimers of what The Lord has done.
Proclaimers are those that evangelise.

Evangelism is that awkward word, evangelism is that challenging word, I’m just keeping it real.
It’s a bible study topic that has been raised for quite a while, and is a topic that has been convicting me the more to do especially in my work place.

Has it been easy to proclaim in my workplace no! But I have missed easy opportunities where I could have proclaimed, and I have also taken advantages of opportunities where I have proclaimed but what I proclaimed was not received.

To proclaim to evangelise is definitely what The Lord desires His children to do more often.
He reminds us that we were once in darkness, we were once like the people that we may be struggling to proclaim to.

Though we are set apart there is a common ground, that we were one just like the people that are in darkness but because of His great mercy we have been brought into His marvellous light.

We were once lustful, prideful, boastful, aggressive, deceitful, we were once in darkness so why are we unable to proclaim to those who still are?
This is the challenging question that The Lord has for us this morning. Why are we still so silent amongst our friends, our family, our colleagues who are not yet saved?

He says don’t go bible bashing, don’t go condemning, just go and be that proclaimer of light.

What is the proclaimer of light?
The proclaimer of light is set apart, different.
The proclaimer of light does not behave like the world rather they behave like carriers of The Kingdom of God.
The proclaimer of light is the reflection of God’s image which is love, truth, and pure.
The proclaimer of light intercedes and prays.

Intercession is key for proclaimers of God.
We must intercede on behalf of our loved ones, friends, family, colleagues before we proclaim.
Reason being it is not in our power to convict or to save only God can do that, He alone has the power to do this.
So it is our duty as light proclaimers to first pray, pray that He softens hardened hearts, because hardened hearts are not going to want to hear anything that has to do with the light of The Lord.

Remember satan is the prince of this
world, whilst we go out proclaiming he goes out destroying.
So we must first deal with satan and pray against his works, we must first pray for the hearts of those we are going to proclaim to, we must first deal with the spirit man, because what ever happens in the physical has already happened in the spirit.

Jesus changed us, He made us new creation, and now He wants His changed new creation to be a generation of light proclaimers.

We can be light proclaimers on the bus, I’ve been in a situation where just after a prayer meeting I’ve overheard young ladies discussing about Christianity and saying they want to be Christians, though they may have just been saying it jokingly I took that as a perfect opportunity to proclaim the light of God.

We can be light proclaimers at work anytime my colleagues ask me what I did during the week or weekend I tell them I went to church, I sang in the choir, I led a worship song, and then from there they either begin to ask questions, look at me funny, or ignore what I just said lol, but do not be discouraged when these things happen.
I used to get discouraged when such things happened, but not anymore.

As light proclaimers awkward situations will most definitely arise, why?
Because darkness cannot comprehend light, and The Word of God is sharper than any two edged sword!
His Word causes demons to tremble!
So do not be discouraged just continue to pray and intercede.

As light proclaimers we will often face discouragers, and these discouragers are often in the places that you’d least expect, they may be amongst your family or even in your church!
Yes I said it church!
The enemy does not care who you are he will try to discourage you, to destroy you, but do not give him the chance rather encourage yourself through the Word of God!

There are many challenges that light proclaimers face, but just because it’s challenging, just because it’s awkward does not mean we should stop doing it.
It is a must for all Christians to proclaim, the New Testament testifies to this as this is demonstrated through the lives of the followers of Christ, His disciples.

Ladies I can even go further to say those guys that approach you asking you for your number, use that as an opportunity to be a light proclaimer.
Proclaim the goodness of God, and that whatsoever they are looking for they cannot find in you but they can find in Christ because He is true love.
Ladies just ask if he is a Christian.
I have done this before lol and this is the typical response “yeah I go to church” or “why are you asking me that question?”
Lol His Word is sharper than a two edged sword.
Use this as an opportunity to invite them to church.
Sometimes we do not have to do the approaching sometimes people will just approach us, use the opportunity, and as you do pray for His leading.

satan makes it seem like evangelising being a light proclaimer is so awkward and challenging when really it isn’t.
satan knows the power in proclaiming and that is why he is trying to discourage many Christians from doing it.
It’s not even something that we need to worry about, He has blessed us with so many opportunities I mean just look at the world it is filled with darkness, lets take advantage of this and share His light!
You just do not know the seed you sowed when you told that sister or brother that Jesus loves them, what you said was not in vain at all!
That seed that you sowed must germinate and produce fruit in Jesus Name just continue to intercede!

We are one in the body of Christ, created in His very image, but His will differs for each and everyone of us, meaning He will use us all in different ways.
Meaning when we proclaim He will use us to proclaim in different ways but it will be all for one purpose and that is for His glory.
He may use Mr. So and so to proclaim with a megaphone in the marketplace, whereas He may use Mrs. So and so to proclaim in the salon.
Do not try to be like anybody, we are all different, with different gifts, but one in His body, and He uses us all in different ways for His glory. Amen!

He is the light and we are His proclaimers.

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. Matthew 5:13

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14

Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Matthew 5:15

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

I thank You Lord for Your ever faithful Word that never fails.
I trust You Lord help me to me a proclaimer of Your Light. Amen.❤🙏

Pray and intercede not only for Nigeria but for the entire continent of Africa, and for our leaders.
There is so much evil going on in Africa.
Pray against the evil behind the leaders of boko haram, we fight not against flesh and blood.
God is the only one that has the power to convict and deliver.
I believe this is a spiritual battle and the church must be united in prayer.
God has the final say, and God declares victory!

Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme, I Peter 2:13

or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. I Peter 2:14

For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men— I Peter 2:15

as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. I Peter 2:16

Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. I Peter 2:17

“The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. Matthew 6:22

But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:23

Remember that we are proclaimers of Light! 💛🔆💡🔦✨📢

We are set apart, we are different, we are not proclaimers of the world, we are not proclaimers of darkness.

“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. Matthew 7:15

You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Matthew 7:16

Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. Matthew 7:17

A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Matthew 7:18

Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Matthew 7:19

Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Matthew 7:20

Be aware of false proclaimers.
They proclaim lies and not truth.
They proclaim darkness.
They deceive.
How do we know false proclaimers?
By the Spirit of God, whom reveals truth and gives His children the spirit of discernment.
He says we will know them by their fruits.

The proclaimers of Light have authority, which Jesus Christ has given.

Light proclaimers or not religious they do not condemn, rather they rebuke in love, intercede, and share the love of Christ.

Now it happened, as Jesus sat at the table in the house, that behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Him and His disciples. Matthew 9:10

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” Matthew 9:11

When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Matthew 9:12

But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Matthew 9:13

The book of Matthew is indeed teaching me a lot. My mama was right. 🙈😊

Jesus preached on righteousness, repentance, and not on religion.
