There is a difference between lust and attraction.
Lust according to the Oxford dictionary is a strong sexual desire.
Attraction according to the Oxford dictionary is the action or power of evoking interest in or liking for someone or something.
Lust according to the bible is:
You have heard that it was said, You shall not commit adultery. [Exod. 20:14; Deut. 5:18.] Matthew 5:27

But I say to you that everyone who so much as looks at a woman with evil desire for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:28

For all that is in the world–the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things]–these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself]. 1 John 2:16

Let marriage be held in honor (esteemed worthy, precious, of great price, and especially dear) in all things. And thus let the marriage bed be undefiled (kept undishonored); for God will judge and punish the unchaste [all guilty of sexual vice] and adulterous. Hebrews 13:4

Note that God said He would punish the unchaste, but He honours marriage.
What is the meaning of the word
unchaste?
Well again according to the Oxford dictionary it means relating to or engaging in sexual activity, especially of an illicit or extramarital nature.
In the amplified version it says that you should abstain from sexual vices and that The Lord will judge the unchaste which is of the extramarital nature.
Extramarital means sexual relations outside of marriage, which we know is fornication(sex before marriage) which we know is a sin.
Someone might argue that this does not apply to couples that are not married.
Hold up wait a minute✋.
Are we forgetting the new commandment that Jesus gave to us concerning adultery?

But I say to you that everyone who so much as looks at a woman with evil desire for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:28

When a man and a woman lust after each other(remember the meaning of lust is to have a strong sexual desire) the man and the woman as the Lord describes commits adultery.
Adultery does not apply to unmarried couples right?
Well it does now according to the new commandment that Jesus gave, anyone that lusts after(has sexual desires) for a man or woman has already joined themselves with this person in their hearts, which ties their souls together. It is possible for the unmarried couple that lusts after each other, become like that of a married couple one flesh.

Lets look at a few more examples of soul ties in the bible.

Shun immorality and all sexual looseness [flee from impurity in thought, word, or deed]. Any other sin which a man commits is one outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18

NOW DINAH daughter of Leah, whom she bore to Jacob, went out [unattended] to see the girls of the place. Genesis 34:1

And when Shechem son of Hamor the Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he seized her, lay with her, and humbled, defiled, and disgraced her. Genesis 34:2

But his soul longed for and clung to Dinah daughter of Jacob, and he loved the girl and spoke comfortingly to her young heart’s wishes. Genesis 34:3

Beloved, I implore you as aliens and strangers and exiles [in this world] to abstain from the sensual urges (the evil desires, the passions of the flesh, your lower nature) that wage war against the soul. 1 Peter 2:11

For this is the will of God, that you should be consecrated (separated and set apart for pure and holy living): that you should abstain and shrink from all sexual vice, 1 Thessalonians 4:3

His Word says that His will is for us to abstain and shrink from all sexual vice.
His will is that we avoid sin and exercise self control!
He says we are children of God, we are set apart, we are not like the world whom are ignorant of His Word. We must live to please God and not to please ourselves.
Our God honours purity!
The world does not honour purity.
We live in a world where purity is devalued, dishonoured.
Sad.
He says our body is His temple it is not to be played by the instruments of sin!
We must walk according to the spirit of The Lord.
We must watch and pray.
Couples that are in courtship especially must seek to please God first by doing so the relationship remains pure.
The Lord desires pure hearts!
Flee from temptation and remain in His perfect will.
Flee from anything that will compromise your purity and the relationship that you have with Christ.
Be patient wait till that faithful day where the preacher says ‘you may now kiss the bride!’
Save the intimacy till marriage! It will do you no harm in waiting.
Keep it pure, keep it in His perfect will.
He says abstain from sin, abstain from anything that is out of His perfect will. He declares what they all are in His Word.
He honours marriage, he does not honour fornication, adultery, intimacy outside of marriage which can lead to soul ties.
He honours purity!
All these things that He has commanded us to do is for our own good, He is in no way punishing us, He desires the best for His children, He adds no sorrow, no regrets, no pain, no shame, no heartache, no manipulation, deception, confusion.
He adds joy, love, peace, liberty, healing, deliverance and so much more!
His love is stronger than death itself!
Just trust Him He knows best!
Yield to His Spirit, yield to His will, yield to His way.

That each one of you should know how to possess (control, manage) his own body in consecration (purity, separated from things profane) and honour, 1 Thessalonians 4:4

Not [to be used] in the passion of lust like the heathen, who are ignorant of the true God and have no knowledge of His will, 1 Thessalonians 4:5

But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God). Galatians 5:16

So kill (deaden, deprive of power) the evil desire lurking in your members [those animal impulses and all that is earthly in you that is employed in sin]: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, for that is idolatry (the deifying of self and other created things instead of God). Colossians 3:5

Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, 1 Corinthians 6:19❤

You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:20❤

Blessed (happy, enviably fortunate, and spiritually prosperous–possessing the happiness produced by the experience of God’s favor and especially conditioned by the revelation of His grace, regardless of their outward conditions) are the pure in heart, for they shall see God! [Ps. 24:3, 4.] Matthew 5:8❤

Whereas the object and purpose of our instruction and charge is love, which springs from a pure heart and a good (clear) conscience and sincere (unfeigned) faith. 1 Timothy 1:5❤

Let us live and conduct ourselves honorably and becomingly as in the [open light of] day, not in reveling (carousing) and drunkenness, not in immorality and debauchery (sensuality and licentiousness), not in quarreling and jealousy. Romans 13:13

But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts). Romans 13:14

The words and promises of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times over. Psalm 12:6❤

Shun youthful lusts and flee from them, and aim at and pursue righteousness (all that is virtuous and good, right living, conformity to the will of God in thought, word, and deed); [and aim at and pursue] faith, love, [and] peace (harmony and concord with others) in fellowship with all [Christians], who call upon the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22❤

I’d like to end on this prayer I wrote a while back.❤

It all belongs to You Lord. My life my body my soul my mind are not my own, to You it all belongs. I was bought with a price, Your Holy Spirit given to me as a gift. May my soul never tie to that which is not from You. May I never become one with that whom is not from You. Lord help me to not use my body as an instrument to be played to the rhythms of sin. Let my mind, my soul, my heart be in line with You. I renounce impure thoughts Lord, I renounce impure desires Lord, forgive me Lord for all the times I have ever offended You. In the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.❤🙏
