It’s a controversial topic amongst Christians, one that is not often
discussed.
Yes I believe it is a sin to kiss before marriage.
‘You may now kiss the bride’ is said on the wedding day.
Kissing before marriage can lead to touching.
Touching can lead to you know the rest.
Though it is not said in the bible that kissing before marriage is a sin the bible does however say that if one lusts after another they have already committed adultery in their hearts.
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ Matthew 5:27
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:28
Adultery is a sin against God.
I find it very unlikely to believe that when a man and a woman kiss they are not lusting after each other, but at the end of the day God knows our hearts.
Yes I haven’t kissed a guy before, so then how can I know if kissing before marriage leads to anything?
I’ve read heard of testimonies where couples waited to kiss on their wedding day and this has encouraged me the more as well as His Word.
Maybe you could do the same and then decide whether you think it’s a sin or not or better yet seek His Word and ask the Father.
It’s a controversial topic and one that I am in no way forcing you to agree with but this is what I believe, and is what I desire to stand by.
I believe it is a glorious and pure moment for the bride and groom to have their first kiss on their wedding day.
What about if that first kiss is awkward? Well your married now there is practically a lifetime to make perfect.
What about if that first kiss is awkward? Well your married now there is practically a lifetime to make perfect.
After all love is patient, love is kind, love is not self seeking.
Do we understand that the new commandment Jesus gave is that being married and sleeping with someone else is not the only form of adultery but also lusting after a man or a woman in his heart is also committing this same sin adultery inside and out of marriage.
Kissing (and I don’t mean the type of kissing that is used to greet) outside of marriage could lead into temptation and temptation causes us to sin.
Kissing is not a sin, yes that’s true but lust is and if you say that when you kiss you do not lust then ok but I find it hard to believe that one can kiss without lusting after the one in which they are kissing.
That is why I believe it is important to wait, I do not see the point of rushing as the bible teaches me that love is patient therefore why the rush to kiss before marriage? When there need not be any need to worry about falling into temptation between a husband and a wife.
After all the man will be married to the woman from the wedding day onwards they can kiss whenever they like without worrying about whether they will be tempted or led to do more than just which is the likely possibility outside of marriage.
Now for the matters you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” 1 Corinthians 7:1
But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife, and each woman with her own husband. 1 Corinthians 7:2
The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:3
The wife does not have authority over her own body but yields it to her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:4
Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer.
Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 1 Corinthians 7:5
I say this as a concession, not as a command. 1 Corinthians 7:6❤
I wish that all of you were as I am. But each of you has your own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that. 1 Corinthians 7:7
Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. 1 Corinthians 7:8
I’ve read 1 Corinthians 7:8 before and I when I read it I was like why would Paul want to stay single?
And now I read it I’m like well why wouldn’t he?
Of course one day I would love to get married and have my family but personally right now I am so enjoying me time I’m enjoying me time much more before when I was so focused on finding the right one when I should have been so focused on finding myself in Christ.
Right now I am single but I am not alone I have Christ and I get to spend so much time with Him it really is amazing!
I’m enjoying the season that I am in right now because there is more time for me to develop myself in Christ.
Believers we need to understand that being single is just as beautiful as being married.
Marriage to is beautiful, it’s beautiful to share life with another, but there may not be as much alone time as there once was when you was single, when married there are more responsibilities than when you’re single, lol maybe this is why Paul suggested that it would be better to stay unmarried he loved the work of God. Paul’s ministry was his first love, I guess he was married to his ministry.
The man that I desire to be married to is one who has a passion for the Word of God. I love His Word so much.❤
Cherish every moment, and don’t take anything for granted.
There is a blessing and a challenge in every season.
Cherish the season that you are in.❤
But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion. 1 Corinthians 7:9❤
Blessed (happy, to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor’s] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12
Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one. James 1:13
But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions). James 1:14
Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death. James 1:15
Do not be misled, my beloved brethren. James 1:16❤
Lets not expose ourselves to temptation for satan to throw his missiles of sin at us.
We must be wise, we must cover ourselves in the Blood of Jesus, watch and pray, and flee from temptation! ❤🙏
‘We must aim to bring glory to God in all that we do by exercising self control’.
Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself. [Ps. 118:24.] Revelation 19:7❤
She has been permitted to dress in fine (radiant) linen, dazzling and white–for the fine linen is (signifies, represents) the righteousness (the upright, just, and godly living, deeds, and conduct, and right standing with God) of the saints (God’s holy people). Revelation 19:8❤
This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24❤
