DaFruits of mount Horeb. ❤

Arise from the place of defeat.

And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, also how he had executed all the prophets with the sword. I Kings 19:1

Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.” I Kings 19:2

And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there. I Kings 19:3

Good morning all!
So when I read this scripture I laughed, you’ve just got to see the humorous side to this scripture.
Do you remember the Elijah that was revealed to us in chapter 18? That Elijah was bold, that Elijah wasn’t afraid to declare the Word of The Lord, and he most certainly was not afraid to destroy those who blasphemed against the Word of The Lord, but look at the Elijah that we have now the Elijah that we have now is the total opposite. The Elijah that we have now is running away!
We can be so funny sometimes.

So why would Elijah run away?
After all he called forth the fire and the rain of The Lord.
What made Jezebel so different from the false prophets that he himself witnessed The Lord destroy?

Elijah went from victory to defeat just like that.
The enemy seeks to discourage, destroy, and defeat the children of God.
Elijah went from victory to defeat.
Elijah instantly forgot about the power of The Lord, and brought the spirit of discouragement upon himself.

But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!” I Kings 19:4

Can you identify yourself with this situation?
I can.
This is a familiar attack that the enemy uses against the children of God to bring us from a place of victory to a place of defeat, to discourage our faith, and to destroy the will of The Lord for our lives.
That is why our eyes must remain on The Lord and not on our current circumstance, else we risk the chance of exaggerating the power of the enemy like Elijah did with Jezebel.

The power of Jezebel could in no way be compared to the power of God, and Elijah knew that but the spirit of discouragement had defeated his faith.
The power of satan can in no way be measured to the power of God, for God is above all!

Are you depressed? Then come against that depression in the blood of Jesus!
Depression stems from the spirit of discouragement, that does not belong to you!

There are no temporary highs, temporary lows with The Lord. For His joy is everlasting! His love is amazing, steady and unchanging! His love is a mountain like mount Horeb in our time of need He is always there, firm beneath our feet!

Keep your eyes on God at all times and not your current circumstance! Do not allow the enemy to defeat your faith!
Do not run away from the enemy face him, for we have the victory!
Do not exaggerate your current circumstance for there no circumstance that is bigger than God!

Self pity is death, it is a hopeless place, it gets you no where.

There is hope in The Lord there is life.
So get up and out from that current circumstance, arise and eat from the Word of The Lord for He is your strength, and your song!
The journey ahead of you is great, the challenge that you are facing is great.

God understands all that!
I bet sometimes The Lord is saying “why can’t my children just trust Me and believe Me when I say that I will lift the heavy load?”

Arise and go not by your strength and not by your power but by the Spirit of The Lord.
He is your strength, He is your helper, He shall surely see you through.
Do not give up, He has taken you this far hasn’t He?
He had brought you to a place of victory. Do not forget how victorious your God is, remind yourself of how great He is and be encouraged.

Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.” I Kings 19:5

Then he looked, and there by his head was a cake baked on coals, and a jar of water. So he ate and drank, and lay down again. I Kings 19:6

And the angel of the Lord came back the second time, and touched him, and said, “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.” 1 Kings 19:7

So he arose, and ate and drank; and he went in the strength of that food forty days and forty nights as far as Horeb, the mountain of God. I Kings 19:8

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, II Corinthians 1:3

who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. II Corinthians 1:4

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:29

For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:30

Cast your burdens unto Jesus for He literally cares for you!

What a friend we have in Jesus all our sins and griefs to bear.
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.
Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear!
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.❤

Let Your living waters flow over my soul.
Let Your Holy Spirit come and take control.
Every situation that has covered my mind.
All my cares and burdens unto You I roll!
Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!
Sing to the father!❤

Just carry everything to God in prayer.
That circumstance lift it up in prayer.
Don’t run away just lift it up in prayer.
As long as we remain the children of God we cannot be defeated!

Eat from His Word and you will never go hungry.
Drink from His Word and you will never thirst.
Meditate on His Word day and and night and you will be encouraged!

And there he went into a cave, and spent the night in that place; and behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and He said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” I Kings 19:9

“What are you doing here, Elijah?”
The place of defeat is not where The Lord wants His children to be, that is out of His perfect will.
He desires that we be in a place of victory and we can only remain in that place by faith, by constantly encouraging ourselves through His Word.

Elijah brought himself so far away from the presence of The Lord, Elijah brought himself to a dark place, a place of defeat, a place of discouragement, a place of depression, a place of death, and now The Lord asks “Elijah what are you doing here? How did you get here? Why did you allow the enemy to take you so far away from Me?
“But you know what Elijah because I love you so much, I will cause you to arise out from this place!
Through you Elijah Jezebel will know that I am Lord. You will go because I have sent you, and You will go in the strength of I The Lord.”
This is what The Lord will say to you in your darkest hour, amen.

The Lord is that still sweet voice in the midst of the storm.

Then He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before the Lord.” And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; I Kings 19:11

and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. I Kings 19:12❤🙌

So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” I Kings 19:13

Show Yourself mighty.
Show Yourself strong.
Show Yourself awesome in the midst of the storm.
For in the time of trouble He will give us a song.
So show Yourself mighty, and show Yourself strong.❤🙌

The Lord will never put more on you than you can bear.
He will never abandon you in the midst of the storm.
He will favour you like He did when He anointed Saul as king He favoured him with destiny helpers, He will favour you like Moses when the burdens of the people became to heavy for him to handle He sent Moses destiny helpers, and He did the same for Elijah sending him Elisha, and He shall surely do the same for you.

Then the Lord said to him: “Go, return on your way to the Wilderness of Damascus; and when you arrive, anoint Hazael as king over Syria. I Kings 19:15

Also you shall anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi as king over Israel. And Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place. I Kings 19:16

It shall be that whoever escapes the sword of Hazael, Jehu will kill; and whoever escapes the sword of Jehu, Elisha will kill. I Kings 19:17

Remember that there is nothing too difficult for The Lord to handle.
Do not be afraid when the storms arise.
He said do not be afraid.
For I am within you.
I have called you by Your name.
You are mine.❤

Be still and know that I am God.
In you oh Lord I put my trust.❤

I pray that we remain encouraged in His Word.
I pray for The Lord to touch us to encourage one another, that He will bind us together in love, with cords that cannot be broken.
I pray against mediocrity, against failure, against defeat.
I pray that God shall send forth our destiny helpers.
I pray that we shall remain victorious.
I pray for a faithful generation those who will stand for righteousness in these last days like those that that The Lord reserved in the days of Elijah. Amen

Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.” I Kings 19:18

Elijah was suicidal that is how dangerous depression/discouragement is.
Don’t let that be you.
It is not your portion.
It is not of God.

Run to His presence and not away from His presence.
For running away from His presence could cost you your life, and eternity with Him.
There is power in the Name of Jesus! To break every chain of defeat, of discouragement, of distractions, of depression, of death! Amen!

His Love is amazing, steady and unchanging His love is a mountain, like mount Horeb He is always there, firm beneath our feet! ❤🙌
